Getting Involved with TBF

Pillar: Membership & Governance

Does registering on this website automatically make me an official TBF member?

No. Creating an account on this digital platform is free and gives you basic/limited platform access (directory search, market summaries, and guides). To become an official, recognized member of the Thulamela Business Forum NPC with voting rights and official certification, you must formally register and pay the annual membership fee of R500.

What are the membership fees and subscription options?

â€ĸ Free Digital Platform Account (R0): Limited access to digital directories, guides, and public tools.
â€ĸ Standard Forum Member (R500/year): Official constitutional membership with AGM voting rights, official TBF certificate, and eligibility for leadership roles. Must be renewed annually to stay in good standing.
â€ĸ Corporate & Enterprise Development Packages: Bespoke partnership tiers for corporations, finance houses, and established firms supporting supplier diversity and enterprise development.

Can I join if I only have a business idea and haven't registered yet?

Yes! TBF actively welcomes aspiring entrepreneurs. You do not need a CIPC registration number or tax documents to join. Our platform will connect you with mentorship and guide you step-by-step through formalisation when you are ready.

Are businesses outside Limpopo allowed to join?

Yes. The Thulamela Business Forum is an inclusive economic platform serving businesses across provinces. There is no geographic limitation to membership.

How can a member qualify for an Executive Committee or leadership role?

Official members in good standing (with active annual R500 subscription) can be nominated and voted into office-bearer positions during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), provided they meet constitutional criteria and demonstrate ethical commitment.
