Lina's Goddess Poultry farm

What we do: Ngqezu Poultry is a broiler farming business based in Johannesburg. We raise day-old chicks to mature chickens (1.8kg - 2.5kg) in 6 weeks and supply fresh, affordable chicken to the community. The Problem: In townships like Simunye / Ward 28, chicken prices are too high (R180 at Shoprite), and families struggle. Many suppliers bring frozen chickens from far. Our Solution: We grow chickens locally and sell: 1. Live chickens - for direct customers 2. Dressed & packed chickens - clean, fresh 3. Bulk orders - for spaza shops, braai spots, churches, events 4. Chicken manure - for farmers as fertilizer We sell at R140 vs R180 retail - fresh, local, affordable. Why it will work: - Chicken is eaten 2-3 times a week in every household - Huge demand from townships, schools, restaurants - 6-week cycle = 6 harvests per year = fast cash flow - Low mortality through clean housing and proper vaccines Startup Need: R145,050 For 500-bird capacity structure, feeders, drinkers, brooders, first batch of chicks, feed, and vaccines. Vision: To become Ward 28's trusted source for quality poultry. Starting with 500 broilers, scaling to 2000+, creating 3 local jobs and feeding 300+ families with fresh excellence.
